Set up a landing page for your field

Every landing page we’ve built uses the same six steps. What changes from field to field is the proof and the one action you want visitors to take.

BlueprintAny fieldPhone-first

The blueprint

1. One line: who it’s for
Say what you do and who it’s for, in your customer’s words, not industry terms.
2. Proof
Show the thing that makes a stranger trust you. It changes by field (see below).
3. One main action
Pick one thing: call, book, download or buy. Make it the biggest button, and repeat it at the bottom.
4. Catch the lead
A short form that lands in your inbox or on a mailing list. Ask for as little as you can.
5. Phone first
Design for a phone, because that’s where people arriving from social posts are.
6. Domain, Google, legal
Your own domain, search titles and descriptions, a privacy page and terms, and simple analytics.

Fit it to your field

The same blueprint, with different proof and a different action.

Service business
Trust + call
Proof: license, certifications, insurance, the area you serve. Action: call, text or book. Example: our notary site.
App
Show + download
Proof: real app screens and a short demo video. Action: the App Store button, plus a mailing list for updates. Example: Credit Hub.
Product store
Hear/see + buy
Proof: demos of the real product. Action: buy, with bundles. Example: The Sound of Deez.
Several businesses
One front door
Proof: the products themselves. Action: pick a path. Example: the LotusBloom lotus, where each petal opens a business.

Before it goes live

  • Open it on your own phone. Can you find the main button without scrolling?
  • Send a test through the form. Did it actually reach you?
  • Search your business name. Do the title and description read right?
  • Check that the domain renews automatically. If it lapses, every printed QR code breaks.
